Experts: Demand for mobile signal boosters quadruples

MOSCOW, Nov 3 (PRIME) -- Sales of mobile connection signal boosters have quadrupled in Russia ahead of lengthy days-off amid the Unity Day on Thursday, according to a research by Check Index seen by PRIME on Wednesday.

“High sales of such equipment were registered during the last 10 days of October, which accounted for more than a half of monthly purchases of these gadgets. For the long days-off, many have headed for cottage houses, to rural areas, and the number of remote workers has increased once again,” the analysts said.

In October, the average check for mobile connection signal boosters decreased 14% on the year to 5,616 rubles. Sales jumped 208% in units.

The average check of Wi-Fi repeaters fell 19% to 2,774 billion rubles, and the average check of Internet connection amplifiers increased 21% to 3,218 rubles.
